Welcome to the Picket Place Bridge LCD Study

Welcome to the Local Concept Development (LCD) study for the Picket Place (County Route 567) Bridge over the South Branch of Raritan River in Branchburg and Hillsborough Townships. The Picket Place Bridge is in poor condition and has structural and functional limitations that do not meet today’s design standards.

Somerset County in coordination with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) are conducting an LCD study to determine appropriate improvements to the Picket Place Bridge. The goals of the study are to address the structural and geometric deficiencies of the bridge, and increase safety for the traveling public.

Community involvement is a vital part of the project. We encourage you to follow and provide input on improvements to the bridge as an important transportation link for the local communities and the region. Get Involved
